Lodge #41 welcomes all applications. Our membership is open to current and retired Law Enforcement as well as non Law Enforcement. We have two forms of membership, Active members and Associate members.
Our Active members are Active Law Enforcement Officers.
Our Associate members are Non Law Enforcement.
Membership fees are $100 per year for both Active and Associate membership.
First time applicants may fill out an application to be submitted before the Lodge. The application will be presented to the Lodge for review and voted on at the following business meeting. If you have any questions about membership, please feel free to contact any Officer of the Shelby County Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #41.
All Active and Associate members of Lodge #41 have full access to the Lodge for personal use. Many of our members choose to use the Lodge for gatherings such as birthday parties, seasonal parties, shift gatherings, and business meetings. Our Lodge is equipped with a large kitchen, handicapped accessible bathrooms, a big screen TV with satellite television, a billiards room, and a meeting room.

The Moonlighting Liability Insurance Program protects individual peace officers who perform extra duty jobs. In addition to protecting the officer, coverage is extended to the non-governmental entity that has contracted the officer’s services. For an additional $12.00 a year, the Alabama State FOP Lodge will cover the cost for Administrative coverage. Please speak to the Secretary/Treasurer of Lodge 41 if you are interested in this coverage.

The Education Services Committee is responsible for the development and implementation of professional law enforcement training programs and events. Our goal is to maintain the highest standard in providing quality education and excellence in training. We are committed to equipping law enforcement professionals with the necessary skills needed to enhance their career development and quality of life.
